Helios dog jacket9/25/2023 Velcro is convenient and adjustable but tends to lose its clinginess as it gets clogged with lint and fur. Multi-step closures tend to be more secure, so they can work well for escape artists or long hikes but may be impractical for quick potty walks. Most styles have pros and cons and are better suited for some purposes more than others. Type of Closure: Your dog’s coat may be fastened with a zipper, Velcro, buckles, adjustable straps, drawstrings, or any combination thereof. Some coats have a convenient built-in D-ring, eliminating the need for additional walk wear. If their harness has a front leash attachment, you will be able to access it without a leash slit. If you have more than one harness, it’s helpful to keep one adjusted for over-the-coat use and one for days when they’ll wear their harness directly against their body. If your dog’s coat is formfitting, they can wear the harness over their coat. Harness Compatibility: Most coats have a slit in the back through which you can thread your dog’s leash to attach to their harness. While those with a fluffy double fur coat, like the Siberian Husky, may not need as much protection, even the dogs of the Iditarod wear jackets in wet weather or extremely cold conditions. For example, single-coated breeds like Greyhounds and Yorkies may get cold more easily than Labrador Retrievers and Pomeranians, who have an insulating undercoat. The length of your dog’s fur does not always correlate with their cold tolerance. Puppies and seniors tend to have trouble regulating their body temperature. Small dogs have a higher skin-to-body ratio, so they lose heat faster than large dogs. Take into consideration not only how cold the weather will get in your region, but how well your dog tolerates it. Some coats have slightly extended sleeves that cover part of the front legs, and some extend higher on the neck than others. On especially cold days, you may need a coat with built-in insulation, or you might need to layer it over a sweater or fleece. Chest and belly coverage protects them when they walk through deep snow or when they kick up slush. Weather Conditions: Ideally, your dog’s winter coat will have a waterproof exterior and extend from the neck to the base of the tail (or longer). For hard-to-fit breeds, such as long-bodied Dachshunds and Corgis and lean, deep-chested Greyhounds and Whippets, adjustable straps and stretchy fabrics are a lifesaver. If your dog has a deep chest, you might need to size up, which sometimes results in the rest of the coat being too big or too loose. Chest girth is usually the most important dimension when it comes to fit. What to ConsiderĪvailable Sizes: Most dog apparel manufacturers size their coats based on a dog’s body length, neck circumference, and chest-girth measurements. It’s taken me years to find coats that fit each dog properly, but now that they finally have the right gear, our winter walks take us farther than ever. Both have different tolerances for being out in the cold, which has provided me the opportunity to test a variety of dog coats. My Chihuahua mix, Matilda, is a hair under five pounds, and my speckled Heinz-57 mutt, Cow, is shaped like a bowling pin, with a wide chest and narrow head. I’m also a lucky pet parent to one cat and two darling dogs. The Expert: I’ve been a pet-industry blogger for more than a decade, writing about behavioral training, veterinary care, and products that can enrich a dog’s life. Whether they spend the colder months curled up on the couch between short potty walks or enjoy diving head-first into fresh snowbanks, there’s a coat for every size, shape, cold tolerance-and personality. The right outerwear can lock in your dog’s body heat and help them stay dry and comfortable, no matter the duration of the outing. While dogs already wear a built-in fur or hair coat, most need additional protection against the elements-whether it’s rain, slush, snow, or just cold weather.

Hungry harvest box9/25/2023 “We have had this problem that our order volume was increasing even though no new people were signing up (because of the company’s hold on new subscribers),” he said. While the company had to temporarily stop new customers from signing up because of overwhelming demand, Lutz said many previous customers of Hungry Harvest also signed back up again. Customers can choose standard or organic options, with prices for the smallest box starting at $15, according to the Hungry Harvest website.Ĭustomers can customize what produce items they want in their harvest boxes, and also elect to add to the box from a list of about 100 pantry products, Lutz said. Subscribers to Hungry Harvest typically get a box of produce either every week or every other week and can adjust or cancel their orders at any time. “A delivery service like ours was really important in their lives to make sure that they at least knew that they can get fresh produce.” Hungry Harvest filled a real need for its customers, he said. “Normally you would have to have six months to plan to be able to fulfill that volume, but we had only a couple of weeks, so it was crazy for those first two months.” “We put together a couple of night shifts in those first few weeks to pack all those boxes, hired a lot more folks and got some more warehouse space and lots more equipment,” he said. “Asking people to ship 20 to 50 boxes of tomatoes is nearly impossible, but now we are taking full loads of items, and it has become a whole lot easier to get the interest of growers.”ĭuring the first couple of weeks of the pandemic, demand for Harvest boxes from the company doubled. “People are trying to get the most out of the service and limit the amount of (trips) to the store,” he said.Ĭompared with the early days of the company, Kresloff said that its increasing scale of growth has helped it find greater volume of No.

We've been using Elementor, and as expected its alot quicker to put things together. So here's the thing, we've been building this school website from scratch, so no bootstrap etc and we've had a blast doing it, we then decided to try and the build the same website in WordPress so we could see firsthand what WordPress is like and how it compares to building a website from scratch. Recently a friend and I who are looking to go into this field started building and collaborating on a website for a local school (for free, as we know the owner), something we're doing to help us get practice in a real life scenario and learn things as we go doing, our goal is to learn how to build websites from scratch, how github etc works and to also learn WordPress so our options are open when clients (hopefully) come to us with websites to build, we don't intend on working for an actual company. Quick history about myself: I decided to learn programming about three years ago and learnt Python, I then decided to learn web development as it would be something I could do from home (I know this might not be straight forward from everything I've read), so I've learnt html, css, javascript and the basics of PHP. /r/programmerhumor - (post your memes here instead)./r/freelance (discussion related to freelancing)./r/learnjavascript (any JavaScript questions).Questions in violation of this rule will be removed or locked. Island thyme headache stick9/25/2023 Best reed diffuser for large rooms - Diptyque Citronnelle Reed Diffuser.Best budget reed diffuser - Rituals Hammam Mini Fragrance Sticks.Best reed diffuser - Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Diffuser.Best value electric diffuser - Oliver Bonas Essential Oil Electric Aroma Diffuser.Best electric diffuser - The White Company Electronic Diffuser. But if you’re in a hurry, here’s a quick look at my top five: Which are the best diffusers in 2023? At a glance I’ve tried and tested 15 of this year’s best diffusers and you can read my full reviews below, followed by some advice from a fragrance expert on how to use them. Nebulising diffusers use high pressure to force a stream of air through essential oil to create a mist. Electric diffusers have heating elements to warm a blend of oil and water which then evaporates into the room. Reed diffusers use natural reeds (often rattan or bamboo) sitting in a well of fragrance which works its way up and evaporates at the top, dispersing fragrance into the air. There are several types, including fan diffusers and ultrasonic diffusers, which you can read about in the FAQ section at the bottom of this feature, but for this guide I’m going to focus on the three most popular kinds. Today, the best diffusers still use essential oils like lavender, eucalyptus and rose, which are commonly used in scented candles for their calming or uplifting properties. It’s believed the first scent diffusers were used by the ancient Greeks, who found that reeds dipped in essential oils would diffuse their scent throughout their homes and temples.

Streaming on redbox9/25/2023 So why is Chicken Soup cashing in on this “dinosaur” entertainment company? William Rouhana Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, admitted that the acquisition will add significantly to Chicken Soup’s debt load. In addition, Redbox’s post-SPAC merger shares depleted from $10 in October 2021 to below $2 recently. While it hoped this was its saving grace, the company remained financially unstable, cutting almost 10% (150 out of 1,467 employees) of its workforce in April. In October 2021, it went public in a $693 million SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) merger with Seaport Global Acquisition Corp. In 2021, the company experienced $140.8 million in losses, had $289 million in sales (down from $546.2 million in 2020) and cash flow went negative to $15 million. Sony’s streaming service Crackle sells majority stake to Chicken Soup for the SoulĪ DVD rental dinosaur that was founded 20 years ago, Redbox has been riding the struggle bus for a while now, collapsing during COVID-19. The company touted that the combination results in $500 million of revenue and $100 million to $150 million of adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) at the end of 2022. In the deal announcement, Chicken Soup said the combination is expected to help its bottom line in 2023, with an expectation of cost synergies of more than $40 million. The main goal of the acquisition is to better position both companies in the streaming landscape. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022. Redbox’s majority owner, Apollo Global Management, will own approximately 15%. The all-stock transaction leaves Chicken Soup shareholders with 76.5% of the company and Redbox shareholders with 23.5%. The company is betting on Redbox’s streaming offering to propel it forward in the overly saturated streaming market. Crackle owner Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, an ad-supported video-on-demand streaming company, acquired Redbox Entertainment, the operator of 38,000 DVD rental kiosks, for $375 million, comprised of $50 million in Chicken Soup stock and the assumption of $325 million in Redbox’s debt. December 7th 2018 nyc gridlock alert nyc9/25/2023 While a judge makes the decisions at a hearing, the TVB is not a local court and operates under its own rules. If you received a NYC Traffic ticket, you can use the DMV website to get information, and to start the process for arranging a hearing. Parking tickets, red light camera fines, and other non-moving violations are not technically considered traffic tickets but citations and are handled through the city’s Department of Finance, and not through the DMV. The Traffic Violation Bureau (TVB) is the division of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) that processes traffic violations for the city. Understanding the Legal Process for Tickets in New York City In this climate, it is often worth trying to get a ticket reduced or even dismissed. New York City now imposes much more significant fines and penalties in an effort to change driver behavior, and raise revenue. To accommodate high pedestrian traffic, westbound vehicle right turns will be prohibited from Fifth Avenue onto 47th Street, 49th Street, or 51st Street. On days the street is not designated an Open Street, beginning in the early afternoon on weekdays and in the morning on weekends, these barriers will be used to repurpose a lane of traffic on each side of the avenue as additional pedestrian space. In addition, throughout the entire holiday season, moveable barriers will be placed on the east and west sides of Fifth Avenue, between 48th Street and 52nd Street. The remaining Gridlock Alert days this year are:įifth Avenue: On Sunday, December 11 and 18, from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Fifth Avenue from 48th Street to 57th Street will only be open to pedestrians.
